- Melt butter over medium heat.
- Once the butter is melted, whisk in the flour to form a roux. Cook roux for 1-2 minutes, stirring.
- Whisk in milk gradually, avoiding lumps.
- Add the garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, and dried basil to the sauce. Stir well to combine.
- Cook the sauce over medium heat until it thickens, stirring frequently. This should take about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove when thickened.
- Season sauce with salt and pepper.
- Allow the sauce to cool slightly before using it on your pizza.
